Blogging

I always begin with the best intentions when starting a blog, but maybe it's the pressure I feel to make what I write important and enlightening that is what prevents me. The bloggers I love the most are those who just write about their daily lives and maybe that approach is the best one.

I've been very busy this semester with craft shows, art making, and balancing social and private time that I've paid little to no attention to my website. I constantly push things off to the "Winter Break To-Do List" and I really should just start working on these things now before I slump into bear level hibernation come Dec. 10 when the semester ends. Here are some of the new pieces I've been working on this semester:

Mt. Gretna Art Show

I spent the past weekend as an Emerging Artist at The Mt. Gretna Outdoor Art Show and had an amazing time. I met so many people and got a lot of wonderful comments on my work. I was happy to sell my work to people who seemed to truly enjoy the pieces. Even if they were just my "I Need A Beer" prints, I'm happy to make someone smile enough to want to take one of my pieces home.

I sold a few of my pins so hopefully I will get a few emails with pictures of people wearing them that I can post! I am resolving to update this more and have a good documentation of my life inside and outside the studio as the school year picks up again.

Progress

Got into the studio yesterday and worked more on my portrait, taking a lot of inspiration from patterns and childhood artwork.
